That meant more to me than anything, because you saw the Dad I remember, and not the stranger he had become. You looked deeply into him and saw him as he used to be all the time. The outpouring of extra love and support those last ten days of Dad’s life at KCNH with Hospice still brings tears to my eyes.

The sentence I heard the most while visiting and ultimately staying overnight was, “Don’t hesitate to let me know if I can do anything for you.” And you meant it.
